Marks shared her experience with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” explaining that the threads created unwanted fibrosis and adhesions in the tissue planes. This made the subsequent facelift, performed by Beverly Hills-based surgeon Dr. Garo Kassabian, technically more challenging. According to facial plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Curti, such interventions can increase operative complexity and negatively impact how skin heals and re-drapes, effectively narrowing options for more permanent aesthetic solutions.
The star compared her two recoveries, noting that the facelift kept her sidelined for only 48 hours, allowing her to return to her work as a DJ within less than two weeks. In contrast, the threads left her with severe headaches and a prolonged, uncomfortable healing period. While other celebrities like Eva Mendes and Nicole Kidman have utilized threads, Marks remains firm in her preference for surgical intervention over the stopgap procedure.
