Gia Giudice Defends Adults-Only Policy at New Jersey Restaurant

Gia Giudice is doubling down on her decision to prohibit children during dinner service at Il Vero, her newly opened Westwood restaurant. Despite backlash from local families who labeled the restriction ridiculous, the entrepreneur maintains that the policy is a deliberate attempt to offer a sophisticated, child-free atmosphere.

The 25-year-old reality star addressed the mounting criticism in a TikTok video, acknowledging that while the rule might alienate some parents, it serves a specific niche in a town already saturated with family-friendly dining options. Alongside business partner Maria Sausa, Giudice argued that the concept is designed to replicate a high-end New York City experience, encouraging guests to dress up and enjoy an evening free from the typical suburban environment.

Not all feedback has been negative, however. A vocal segment of the public has rallied behind the decision, with many parents expressing relief at the prospect of a dedicated space for date nights and social gatherings without the presence of children. This support highlights a broader divide regarding dining expectations in suburban communities.

Beyond the age restriction, the restaurant faces early operational hurdles. Recent online reviews have criticized the establishment for its pricing, including complaints regarding drink costs and mandatory water fees. While Giudice has hinted that younger guests might eventually be permitted during daytime hours, the dinner service remains strictly for adults as the team attempts to solidify its brand in the competitive New Jersey market.
