Jacob Elordi to Narrate Posthumous Memoir of Euphoria Co-star Eric Dane

Jacob Elordi is lending his voice to the audiobook edition of My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments, the final written work from his Euphoria co-star Eric Dane. Set for a November 3 release, the memoir documents Dane’s private battle with ALS and his resolve to frame his final months as a lesson for his daughters.

The project, published under Maria Shriver’s imprint The Open Field, serves as a candid account of the late actor’s life following his diagnosis. Dane, who played the volatile Cal Jacobs to Elordi’s Nate Jacobs in the hit series, wrote extensively about the physical decline that eventually stripped him of his ability to perform simple tasks, such as gripping chopsticks or embracing his children. Shriver, who contributes a chapter to the work, noted that Dane’s primary motivation for the book was to leave a narrative of grace and resilience for his daughters, Georgia and Billie.

Beyond the professional collaboration, the memoir captures the harrowing realities of the disease, including a 2024 incident in Antigua where Dane lost his ability to swim and required rescue by his daughter. Despite the severity of his condition, Dane remained committed to his final creative projects, including his return for the third season of Euphoria. The memoir stands as a final testament to his relationship with his family and his attempt to find purpose while facing a terminal prognosis.
