Forde, an Australian-licensed veterinarian, has been utilizing a series of high-stakes dares to incentivize donations for her "Round-the-world Vet Volunteer Series." Her latest challenge involved a wind tunnel session that initially sparked nerves but quickly turned into a high-energy experience. Guided by her instructor, Zara, Forde transitioned from basic hovering to high-altitude maneuvers within the chamber, an addition she described as both terrifying and exhilarating.
The fundraiser supports the Aldergrove-based Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary, which provides permanent refuge for rescued farm animals. Forde, who covers her own travel expenses to ensure all donations reach the organizations, has set a $15,000 feed appeal as her broader goal. With the skydiving milestone behind her, she has already announced the next commitment: a sleepover with goats once the campaign reaches the $5,000 mark. Supporters can track her progress and upcoming volunteer work through her GoFundMe page as she prepares for her scheduled October 21 arrival at the sanctuary.
