Gleb Savchenko Criticizes Alan Bersten Following DWTS Cast Shakeup

During an Instagram Live broadcast, Savchenko dismissed Bersten’s technical capabilities, arguing that his performance quality fails to meet the show’s artistic standards. His comments highlight the friction within the professional cast as they navigate the fallout from Chmerkovskiy’s departure. The suspension was issued by BBC Studios after Chmerkovskiy reacted to judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s critique of his wife, Jenna Johnson, regarding an illegal lift performed during a samba routine. The network stated the post was inappropriate and violated their core values.

Chmerkovskiy has since apologized, admitting that his impulse to defend his wife led to a lapse in judgment. He expressed regret for involving Inaba in the controversy and noted his primary concern is ensuring his absence does not overshadow Dewan’s preparations for Dedication Night. While Dewan adjusts to her temporary partner, she has received public support from her fiancé, Steve Kazee, who praised her grace and resolve as she readies a performance dedicated to her mother.
