Mayci Neeley Draws Lines on DadTok Involvement in MomTok Drama

The central conflict of MomTok—a show defined by its female leads—has increasingly been overshadowed by the men of DadTok. For cast member Mayci Neeley, the line between supportive husbands and disruptive participants is clear, as she identifies specific figures who she believes have overstepped their boundaries within the group dynamic.

Speaking at the Raising Cane’s original location in Baton Rouge on October 15, Neeley confirmed her stance that the men have become disproportionately involved in the narrative. While she does not view all male appearances as problematic, she explicitly singled out Jordan Ngatikaura and Dakota Mortensen as the primary drivers of the friction she observes. According to Neeley, these individuals have transitioned from peripheral support to active participants in the group’s internal conflicts.

Neeley contrasted this behavior with her own husband’s approach, characterizing him as a team player who films when necessary rather than seeking out drama. She noted that she is hesitant to judge men she knows less well, such as Zac, and defended others like Jace and Jacob, whom she does not categorize as part of the problem. For Neeley, the distinction lies in the intent behind the screen time.

Despite the friction, Neeley admitted that she struggles to maintain boundaries in her own life, often feeling an instinct to intervene when her friends face relationship crises. While she has contemplated leaving the public eye entirely, the unique bond formed through the shared, often overwhelming, experience of the show keeps her tethered to the group. The friendships, she says, create a complex emotional landscape that makes walking away a difficult prospect.
