The Stealth AXiS system, a core component of Medtronic’s AiBLE smart ecosystem, aims to consolidate the fragmented surgical experience. By merging planning, navigation, and robotic-assisted execution into a single interface, the platform supports complex spinal, cranial, and ENT procedures. Michael Carter, president of the company's Cranial and Spinal Technologies unit, noted that the system provides surgical teams with a centralized, intelligent workflow designed to improve precision in the operating room.
Simultaneously, the Corsano multi-parameter wearable is addressing critical gaps in patient oversight. While traditional bedside monitoring often leaves patients unobserved 96% of the time, the tetherless device provides near real-time data on pulse, blood oxygen, respiration, and temperature. Distributed by Medtronic and manufactured by Corsano Health B.V., the wearable allows clinicians to maintain visibility from hospital wards to home settings. Kate Benedict, president of the Acute Care & Monitoring unit, emphasized that this technology extends the reach of clinical care, allowing for data-driven decisions while prioritizing patient mobility and comfort.
