Marketing platform Marklo secures $5 million in seed funding

Marklo has closed a $5 million seed round led by Forerunner to scale its agentic marketing platform. The company, which counts brands like Away and Clare V. among its early users, simultaneously launched a public beta designed to automate complex promotional workflows for Shopify-based retailers.

The platform functions by integrating with existing tech stacks, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, and Figma. By centralizing data on inventory, sales, and competitive trends, Marklo identifies revenue opportunities and autonomously generates marketing content, calendars, and team handoffs. Founder and CEO Jessica Herrin stated that the system is designed to eliminate the fragmentation that typically forces marketing teams to manage campaigns across disparate spreadsheets and logins.

Forerunner Founding Partner Kirsten Green noted that the investment reflects a broader trend of leaner teams leveraging intelligent tools to scale operations. The new capital will be directed toward expanding the product and engineering departments, alongside continued development of customer success programs. Current users like Away report that the system provides a necessary cohesive view of commercial data, replacing manual assembly with an actionable path for campaign execution.
