The collaboration embeds Blackout’s automated markup tools into the Reef Discovery ecosystem, allowing users to search for and redact specific terms across thousands of documents without leaving their primary interface. This functionality targets one of the most persistent bottlenecks in eDiscovery: the need to maintain file integrity while securing private data.
"Integrating Reef Discovery with Blackout enables organizations to address one of the most complex challenges in eDiscovery: redacting sensitive information in native files," said Phil Shawe, President and Co-CEO of TransPerfect. Steve Ankenbrandt, CEO of Milyli, noted that the move provides legal teams with a more cohesive way to manage redactions within existing workflows. The integration is currently available to users of the TransPerfect Legal platform.
