Tomáš Čupr secures $32 million to scale AI automation platform Duvo

After navigating the operational complexities of building the online grocer Rohlik, entrepreneur Tomáš Čupr has raised $32 million in Series A funding for Duvo. The startup, which provides an AI-driven workforce for enterprise tasks, aims to use the capital to expand its reach across the retail and consumer goods sectors.

The funding round, led by Balderton Capital with participation from Index Ventures, Northzone, and Credo Ventures, brings Duvo’s total capital raised to $48 million. Rather than focusing on replacing human headcount, Čupr emphasizes the platform's role in augmenting employee output by handling repetitive, high-volume tasks that often fall through the cracks. At Rohlik, for instance, the technology shifted the burden of monitoring at-risk product shortages from manual checks to an automated, around-the-clock system.

Duvo claims to have already unlocked over $100 million in value for clients in finance, supply chain, and marketing. A notable case study involves the beauty retailer Notino, which reduced the time spent on supplier bonus reconciliation from 120 specialist hours per cycle to under 10. To support its growth, the company has bolstered its leadership team with industry veterans, including former Databricks executive Michael Green and ex-Kmart president Spencer Insolia, as it begins its strategic push into the US market.
